Karachi Summer Basketball Coaching Camp Continues, Young Players Encouraged to Excel in Sports and Education

Karachi (HRNW)- Additional Commissioner Karachi Dr. Atif Jalib, accompanied by Karachi University Professor Dr. Kashif Riaz, visited the 20th Summer Girls and Boys Basketball Coaching Camp organized by the Karachi Basketball Association under the patronage of the Sindh Basketball Association.

Director Sports Ghulam Muhammad Khan, SBBA Secretary Amir Sharif, Camp Commandant Haji Muhammad Ashraf Yahya, and other distinguished guests were also present during the visit.

A total of 48 girls and 50 boys, aged between 8 and 21 years, are participating in the coaching camp, which will continue until July 27. Following the camp, a three-day tournament featuring selected players will be held from July 29 to 31. No registration or participation fee is being charged from any player.

The camp is being conducted from Monday to Friday between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm, with a break scheduled during Ashura Muharram.

Addressing the participants, Additional Commissioner Karachi Dr. Atif Jalib praised the young athletes for improving their skills with discipline and dedication. He expressed hope that Karachi would continue to produce talented players who would bring pride to Pakistan, as many have done in the past.

He also advised the players to focus on their education alongside sports and to follow the guidance of their parents and elders.

Earlier, Director Sports Ghulam Muhammad Khan offered prayers for the forgiveness of the late journalist Qamar Ahmed and announced that the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto would be observed with respect and devotion on June 29.
