Karachi (HRNW)- An underground water tank at a biryani shop in Karachi’s Shershah area exploded after gas reportedly accumulated inside the tank. According to police, the incident occurred at Masha Allah Barbecue and Biryani Center located on Jinnah Road, Gali No. 44, within the jurisdiction of Shershah Police Station.
According to initial reports, four people were injured in the explosion and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The injured were identified as:
- Fazal, son of Social, aged 50
- Ismail, son of Ali Rehman, aged 18
- Abdul Malik, son of Kaleem, aged 25
- Waqar, son of Ibrahim, aged 25
Following the incident, local police rushed to the scene, while the Crime Scene Unit was also called in to collect evidence and investigate the cause of the explosion. Police officials said that investigations are underway from all angles to determine the exact circumstances behind the blast.
