Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (HRNW)- Members associated with the Action Committee are continuing to announce their disassociation from the organization, with several leaders publicly distancing themselves from its activities.
In a video message, core member Iftikhar Mahmood rejected what he described as the committee’s disruptive activities and urged young people to return to constructive and positive political engagement.
Iftikhar Mahmood, who identified himself as a core member of the Action Committee and Chairman of the All Azad Kashmir Traders Association, stated that he strongly disagreed with the activities being carried out under the committee’s banner. He announced his complete disassociation and boycott of the organization, alleging that it had become involved in anti-state and violent activities.
He said that what began as a peaceful movement had, in his view, been diverted in a direction that could damage the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir. He further claimed that certain individuals were using the platform to promote anti-Pakistan narratives.
Appealing to the youth, Iftikhar Mahmood urged them not to jeopardize their future by becoming involved in activities that could lead to conflict or instability. He emphasized that he had no association with any separatist or anti-state organization.
Prior to his announcement, other members, including Anjum Zaman and Amjad Ali Khan Advocate, had also publicly declared their disassociation from the committee.
Political observers say that these developments reflect growing differences within the organization and could have implications for its future direction and influence in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
