Commissioner Reviews Progress of Karimabad and Munawar Chowrangi Underpass Projects

Karachi (HRNW)- Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, along with Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui, DIG Traffic Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, Deputy Commissioner Central Taha Saleem, Water Board officers and Chief Engineer KDA Abdul Samad Jamlani visited Karimabad Underpass and Munawar Chowrangi Underpass and reviewed the overall situation there in detail. During the visit, Superintendent Engineer KDA Junaid Siddiqui briefed Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi and said that immediate steps are being taken for the construction work of Karimabad Underpass and its adjacent roads. On this occasion, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi stressed on expediting the construction project and had a detailed discussion regarding the deadline given to Karimabad Underpass for the movement of citizens. Later, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, along with Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui, visited the Munawar Chowrangi Underpass located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and appreciated the ongoing construction work there. Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui told Commissioner Karachi that the development work is stalled due to unavailability of funds. If the funds are paid on time, we will complete this project by June 2026, which will make this project available for the movement of citizens soon. On this occasion, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi directed the concerned officers of the underpass located at Munawar Chowrangi to continue working with the same enthusiasm so that every possible facility can be provided to the public.
