Riyadh (HRNW)- A powerful storm developing in the Gulf region has raised serious concerns, with meteorologists warning of severe weather conditions in Saudi Arabia and neighboring Gulf countries.

According to the Meteorological Department, the coming days may bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, and dust storms, with wind speeds expected to reach up to 60 km/h. Experts have cautioned that multiple areas could be significantly affected by the end of the week.

Reports indicate that visibility may be reduced, while sea conditions are expected to worsen, with waves in coastal areas possibly exceeding 2.5 meters, increasing risks for coastal communities.

In the United Arab Emirates, concerns are also growing as forecasts warn of intense rainfall and potential flooding in residential areas. Citizens have begun precautionary measures, including using sandbags and protective coverings to safeguard their homes.

The UAE Department of Awqaf has advised residents to offer prayers at home during severe weather, while mosque imams have been instructed to make public announcements urging people to avoid unnecessary travel. In areas where congregational prayers continue, authorities have recommended combining prayers to ease public hardship.

Authorities across the region remain on high alert, urging citizens to follow safety guidelines and stay informed about weather updates.
