Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has confirmed that White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt will leave her position at the end of this month.
President Trump praised Levitt’s performance, describing her as one of the best press secretaries in White House history and commending her for carrying out her responsibilities with diligence and dedication.
According to Trump, Levitt effectively presented the administration’s positions on issues including justice, freedom and government policy during her tenure.
At 28 years old, Levitt became the youngest White House press secretary in US history. She played a prominent role in President Trump’s second administration, regularly representing the White House during media briefings and responding to journalists’ questions on domestic and international issues.
Levitt frequently defended the Trump administration’s policies during White House press briefings.
She cited her desire to spend more time with her young children as the reason for stepping down, saying she wanted to give greater attention to her family.
Levitt gave birth to a daughter in May this year and recently returned to the White House after maternity leave.
The White House has not yet announced final details regarding who will succeed Levitt as press secretary.
