Islamabad (HRNW)- United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that he has positive expectations from the talks to be held in Islamabad.
In his statement, he said that Pakistan has played an important role in reducing tensions between the United States and Iran and promoting diplomatic relations. According to him, Pakistan has paved the way for reducing tensions in the region by providing an opportunity for negotiations to the parties.
Antonio Guterres added that the UN Special Envoys are present in the region and continue to support diplomatic efforts so that the ongoing steps for peace and stability can be made more effective.
