KARACHI (HRNW): In anticipation of the Al-Quds Day rally scheduled for Friday, March 13, 2026, the Karachi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive travel advisory and management plan. The main procession is set to proceed from Numaish Chowrangi to Amma Tower, which will necessitate the closure of sections of M.A. Jinnah Road and its surrounding arteries.
To ensure minimal inconvenience, the following alternative routes and diversions have been designated:
-
From Teen Hatti to Tower: Traffic heading toward the Tower area will be diverted from Gurumandir toward Soldier Bazaar, passing through the Coast Guard and PP Chowrangi routes.
-
From Nazimabad: Commuters arriving from Nazimabad will be redirected at Lasbela toward Nishtar Road to bypass the procession route.
-
Saddar and Eidgah Area: Those traveling from Saddar, Fresco Chowk, and Eidgah can utilize Regal Chowk, Empress Market, and Agha Khan III Road to reach their destinations.
The Traffic Police has urged citizens to adhere to these instructions and plan their travel accordingly. For real-time updates and assistance, the public is encouraged to contact the helpline at 1915 or tune in to FM 88.6. Additionally, a public holiday has been announced across Sindh today to facilitate the observance of the day.
