MAKKAH (HRNW): Saudi Hajj security forces have arrested six Pakistani nationals during an enforcement operation in the holy city of Makkah. According to Arab media reports from Riyadh, the arrests are part of the Kingdom’s intensified efforts to regulate the pilgrimage and ensure all participants adhere to legal requirements.
One Pakistani national was detained on charges of residing in Makkah without the mandatory Hajj permit. The other five Pakistanis were arrested for allegedly facilitating Hajj services and transportation for pilgrims who did not possess the required official permits.
The Saudi authorities have consistently warned that providing unauthorized assistance to illegal pilgrims or attempting to perform Hajj without a permit carries strict legal penalties, including heavy fines, imprisonment, and deportation. Security forces continue to monitor entry points and residential areas to ensure the safety and organization of the upcoming Hajj season.
