Sacramento (HRNW)- The California State Senate has unanimously passed a resolution paying tribute to Pakistan and highlighting the longstanding relations between Pakistan and the United States, as well as the significant contributions of the Pakistani-American community to California’s economy, culture and social life.
The resolution, presented by Senator Melissa Hurtado, recognized the important role played by Pakistani Americans in California’s development and praised their achievements across various fields.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, expressed gratitude for the unanimous approval of the resolution and appreciated Senator Melissa Hurtado’s leadership.
The California State Assembly also expressed support for strengthening relations between Pakistan and California and recognized the contributions of Pakistani-American business leaders and investors toward promoting economic cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.
The Assembly also acknowledged Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The ambassador reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to expanding people-to-people ties and building on the positive momentum in Pakistan-US relations.
The resolution was passed during Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh’s official visit to California, during which he met with state legislators and discussed ways to further strengthen economic, political and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and the United States.
