Jeddah (HRNW)- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a one-day official visit, during which he is expected to hold key meetings with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
The Turkish President’s aircraft landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, where he was received by Saudi officials. He was welcomed by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Emrullah İşler, and Turkish Consul General in Jeddah Mustafa Ünal.
Following the reception ceremony, President Erdoğan departed by road for the holy city of Makkah, where a series of high-level meetings and consultations are expected to take place during his visit.
According to sources, discussions during the visit will focus on Saudi-Türkiye bilateral relations, regional security, defense cooperation, and the current situation in the Middle East.
President Erdoğan’s expected meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is likely to cover bilateral cooperation between the two countries, ongoing regional tensions, security developments, and ways to strengthen defense collaboration.
