Islamabad (HRNW): Airblue has announced a major policy change on the completion of 22 years of its operations.
According to the airline, from 1 July 2026, Airblue will become Pakistan’s first fully cashless airline.
The airline stated that all payment systems will be shifted entirely to digital channels, and cash payments will no longer be accepted.
Passengers will be able to pay through mobile apps, the official website, bank transfers, and debit/credit cards.
Airblue said the cashless system will make transactions more secure and transparent, while also speeding up check-in and boarding processes.
Over the past two decades, Airblue has introduced several modern facilities in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
These include e-ticketing, online check-in, and the introduction of Airbus A321 aircraft in its fleet.
The airline said its goal is to provide passengers with a modern, safe, and convenient travel experience.
