QUETTA (HRNW)- Three young men from Gwadar — identified as Asad Jalal, Sharif, and Akram — have publicly announced their disassociation from what they described as a misguided extremist group and reaffirmed their commitment and loyalty to Pakistan.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Gwadar Press Club, where the youths appeared alongside their families and local political leader Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman.
Speaking on the occasion, the youths said they had been influenced by misleading propaganda and the negative use of social media but now wished to distance themselves from extremist elements. They emphasized that they would not compromise on the security, stability, and integrity of Pakistan.
Their families also reiterated their loyalty to the country and expressed support for efforts aimed at guiding young people away from violence and extremism.
Addressing the press conference, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that some young people had been led astray by misinformation and propaganda. He urged those associated with extremist organizations to abandon the path of violence and return to peaceful and constructive activities.
He emphasized that the development and prosperity of Balochistan can only be achieved through peaceful, democratic, and constitutional struggle rather than through violence.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman also called upon parents to remain vigilant regarding the activities and influences affecting their children, stressing the importance of protecting young people from misleading narratives and harmful ideologies.
He encouraged the youth of Balochistan to participate in democratic and political processes and pursue their rights through peaceful means, stating that constructive engagement is the most effective path toward progress and development in the province.
