Karachi: Attempted Encroachment on Private Housing Society in Sachal, Inquiry Demanded

Karachi (HRNW): An alleged attempt to take over a private housing society has been reported in the Sachal area of Karachi.

Sindh Assembly member Arsalan Pervez has submitted a written complaint to Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar regarding the matter.

According to the complaint, an attempt is being made to occupy a private housing society in Scheme 33 with alleged support of police personnel.

Arsalan Pervez stated that Ghausia Housing Society is a verified and registered housing scheme with an elected union in place.

The application further claims that residents have been facing harassment from armed individuals for the past one and a half years.

It also mentions that residents have repeatedly lodged complaints with Sachal Police Station and other relevant authorities, but no effective action has been taken so far.

The lawmaker has demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter and strict legal action against those responsible.

The complaint also calls for immediate protection of the residents of the housing society.
