Sindh Assembly’s Resolution on Karachi Lacks Legal Value, Says Political Leader

KARACHI (HRNW) – A prominent political leader has dismissed the recent resolution passed by the Sindh Assembly regarding Karachi, asserting that it carries no legal or practical weight.

The leader questioned the moral and religious standing of the assembly’s decisions, stating, “If the Sindh Assembly passes a resolution in favor of prohibited alcohol, does that make it permissible (Halal)? Similarly, the assembly previously passed a resolution against Islamic principles in the Minority Bill; should that be accepted as well?”

He further criticized the provincial legislature, describing it as an assembly of “irreligious landlords” and labeling the resolution a mere “piece of paper” with no real-world significance.

Reiterating a long-standing demand, the leader vowed that Karachi would eventually become a separate province. “The creation of a Karachi province is an inevitable process, and by the will of God, it will be realized,” he added.
