Russia Claims Destruction of Three Military Supply Ships in Black Sea

Moscow (HRNW)- Russia’s Ministry of Defense has claimed that its armed forces targeted and destroyed three cargo ships carrying military supplies intended for the Ukrainian military in the Black Sea.

According to media reports, the attack was carried out as part of Russia’s ongoing military operations aimed at tracking and destroying Ukrainian military and naval infrastructure.

In a statement, the Russian military command said the operations were conducted with high-precision weapons between the evening of August 6 and the morning of August 7. The ministry stated that Russian forces are continuing strikes against ships and vessels allegedly deployed or supporting the Ukrainian armed forces in the region.

According to the statement, Russian forces are seeking to disrupt maritime supply and logistics routes used by Kyiv to transport military equipment and ammunition. The ministry also said Moscow is increasingly relying on drone technology to accurately target naval assets while reducing risks to its own warships.

The latest attacks are expected to heighten security tensions in the Black Sea, a strategically important maritime route for grain exports and international shipping.
