Sindh Education Department Issues New Timings for Government Schools Across Province

Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh School Education Department has issued a new circular announcing revised timings for government schools across the province.

According to the circular, the new school timings came into effect immediately from August 6, 2026. All government schools have been directed to strictly implement the revised schedule, which will remain in force until further orders.

The circular states that separate timings have been introduced for single-shift and double-shift schools, as well as for primary, elementary, secondary, and higher secondary institutions, to ensure that academic activities continue according to the updated schedule.

According to the Education Department, from August 6 to October 31, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, while on Fridays the timings will be 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

From November 1 to March 31, the same schools will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The circular also outlines the timings for the first and second shifts of double-shift primary schools. Similarly, the first shift of double-shift elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. between August 6 and October 31, while from November 1 to March 31, the first shift will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

The Sindh School Education Department has also introduced revised timings for single-shift elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools, directing all concerned officers and school heads to ensure the immediate implementation of the new schedule.
