Karachi (HRNW): According to reports, the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved the reopening of corruption cases in Sindh and directed the bureau to intensify accountability efforts across the province.
Sources said the Chairman NAB has instructed the Director General (DG) NAB Sindh to reopen previously closed NAB cases and proceed with investigations in accordance with the law.
The directives also reportedly authorize action on corruption complaints involving government institutions throughout Sindh, with instructions for the relevant authorities to examine the allegations and take legal action where warranted.
The reported move is aimed at strengthening accountability, ensuring transparency in the use of public resources, and addressing allegations of corruption through lawful investigations.
However, NAB has not yet issued a detailed official statement confirming the scope of the decision, the number of cases to be reopened, or the specific institutions that may be affected.
