Karachi: Rangers and CTD Arrest High-Profile Fitna Al-Khawarij Terrorist in Joint Operation

KARACHI (HRNW): Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and CTD Police, acting on intelligence-based information, conducted a joint operation in the SITE Area of Karachi, resulting in the arrest of a highly wanted terrorist belonging to “Fitna Al-Khawarij,” identified as Noor Alam, alias Wafadar. Weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from the arrested suspect.


Criminal Record and Terrorist Activities

  • Affiliation and Training: Investigations reveal that the suspect joined the Mufti Noor Wali group of Fitna Al-Khawarij in 2014. After completing his training, he was involved in several attacks on security force check-posts in South Waziristan.

  • Abduction of Levies Personnel: The terrorist disclosed that in 2021, he and his accomplices attacked the Levies check-post in Makin. While two of his associates were killed in the retaliatory fire by security forces, the suspect and his group managed to abduct six Levies personnel.

  • IED Blasts: Alongside other associates, including Khan Muhammad (alias Khurai) and Naqeebullah (alias Muawiyah), the suspect was involved in planting numerous IEDs and carrying out explosions targeting security forces’ routes in Waziristan.

  • Absconding to Afghanistan: Following operations in South Waziristan, the suspect fled to Afghanistan. Later, acting on the instructions of commander Bilal (alias Toofan), he facilitated the movement of terrorists from Afghanistan to South Waziristan for various sabotage activities.


Terrorist Network in Karachi

The arrested suspect, a resident of South Waziristan, had been hiding in Karachi for some time. He was in the process of organizing a sleeper cell on the instructions of his associates in Afghanistan to carry out major terrorist attacks within Karachi. Raids are currently being conducted to apprehend his remaining accomplices.
