KARACHI (HRNW): The Constitutional Bench of the Sindh High Court witnessed significant progress in petitions regarding missing persons as police submitted a report confirming the recovery of six individuals. According to the police statement, Muhammad Asif and Samiullah, who went missing from the Jamshed Town area and whose recovery was sought by Zahida Parveen, have safely returned to their homes. Similarly, Namjeed, who disappeared from Rezvia Society and was the subject of a petition filed by Riaz Khan, has also returned home. In another case, the police informed the court that Jehanzaib, reported missing from Shah Latif Town by Muhammad Javed, has been reunited with his family, leading the court to dispose of the petition. Regarding the case of Reema from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, the investigating officer reported that she was not abducted but had left home of her own accord to contract a court marriage. Furthermore, Mussarat, who went missing from the Korangi Industrial Area, was traced to an Edhi Home. The petitions had named the IG Sindh, SSPs of East, Central, and Malir districts, and CTD officials as respondents. Following the police reports and the satisfaction of the petitioners’ counsels, the court officially disposed of all the applications.
