Washington (HRNW)- Former US diplomat gave a strong response to an Indian anchor, the video of which is also being discussed on social media.
In the program, on a question regarding the security of the US Vice President in Pakistan, former US diplomat Jeffrey Gunter called the Indian anchor’s question frivolous and said that such statements are contrary to reality and US officials in Pakistan are completely safe.
He said that it is regrettable to misrepresent such sensitive issues and that some media platforms unnecessarily color it as a conflict between India and Pakistan. The former diplomat added that the real focus should be on peace, stability and economic impact in the region, and not on unnecessary debates.
On the other hand, another clip is also viral on social media in which Indian anchor Arnab Goswami allegedly questioned Pakistan’s role during a conversation with Chinese international affairs expert Victor Gao.
Social media users are also discussing the Indian anchor’s response to Victor Gao’s praise of Pakistan in this conversation in different ways.
According to experts, such debates in which sensitive diplomatic issues are made part of the media discussion often lead to increased tensions in the region and highlight the need for responsible reporting.
