China Rejects Reports of Supplying Air Defense System to Iran

Beijing (HRNW)- According to a report by international media citing US intelligence sources, China is reportedly preparing to provide Iran with a modern air defense system within the next few weeks.

Reports suggest that Beijing may be considering the delivery of these weapons through third countries. The systems under discussion are said to possibly include shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missile systems.

However, the Chinese Embassy in Washington has strongly rejected these allegations, stating that China has never supplied weapons to any party involved in the conflict. In its statement, the embassy described the information circulating in US media as incorrect and baseless.

The Chinese side further emphasized that China is fulfilling its international obligations as a responsible global power and seeks peace and stability in the region rather than any escalation of tensions.

The statement also urged the United States to avoid baseless accusations and sensational claims, while appealing to all relevant parties to take practical steps aimed at reducing regional tensions.
