Australia Places India in “Highest Risk” Category for Student Visas Amid Fake Degree Concerns

Sydney (HRNW)- Australia has tightened its student visa rules for Indian students, placing India in the “Highest Risk” category along with Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.

According to Australian and Indian media reports, the decision was made outside the normal schedule due to what officials described as “new integrity concerns” in the visa system.

The Indian newspaper The Times of India reported that although Australian authorities did not provide a clear reason for including India in this category, the step followed revelations of several cases involving fake degrees and fraudulent educational documents.
