Rawalpindi (HRNW): Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a meeting with Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visiting dignitary was presented with a Guard of Honour upon arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed. Both sides expressed a commitment to further strengthening military-to-military relations between the two countries.
ISPR stated that special focus was placed on joint training in counter-terrorism and cooperation in defence production.
The Ghanaian Chief of Defence Staff appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their role in promoting regional stability.
According to ISPR, Ghana’s National Security Coordinator Abdul Razak Osman also held separate meetings with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, with the Ghanaian CDS present during the engagements.
