ISLAMABAD (HRNW)- President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the participation of the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court in the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, scheduled to be held in Russia later this month.
According to reports, the approval was granted on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the official visit of the country’s top judicial officials to attend the prestigious international legal event.
Following the approval, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court will travel to St. Petersburg, Russia, to represent Pakistan at the forum.
The 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum is scheduled to take place from June 24 to June 26, 2026, and is expected to bring together senior judges, legal experts, policymakers, and judicial representatives from around the world.
The forum serves as a platform for discussions on international law, judicial cooperation, legal reforms, and emerging global legal challenges. Participation by Pakistan’s senior judiciary is expected to strengthen legal and judicial engagement with international counterparts and promote the exchange of legal expertise.
Officials say the event will provide an opportunity for high-level interaction with judicial and legal leaders from various countries, contributing to greater international cooperation in the legal field.
