Sindh High Court Hears Petition Against Sindh Public Service Commission Exams and Results

Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh High Court heard a petition challenging the examinations and results of the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), where the Advocate General Sindh and other parties appeared before the court.

During the proceedings, the Advocate General Sindh stated that the representation of the petitioners is still pending and should be decided first. He further argued that no third party has any role in the matter and that the petitioners have not challenged the relevant law itself.

On the other hand, counsel for the petitioners argued that the SPSC has framed rules in its own interest.

Justice Nisar Ahmed Bhambhro remarked that the objective should be to ensure that no unnecessary cases are brought before the court. He further observed that “matters will not be resolved until accountability is ensured.”

Candidates who appeared in the proceedings repeatedly attempted to address the court. However, the bench remarked that their lawyers were present and they should allow them to speak, adding that they may address the court only if counsel is not available.

Some affected candidates also stated that the cases had been filed under unrealistic or impractical subjects.
