ISLAMABAD (HRNW): The Federal Government has announced that the revised prices for petroleum products will be officially declared tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2026. Minister of State for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, stated that the new rates will be determined based on the average market prices and existing pricing formulas.
Speaking on the economic outlook, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb noted that petroleum prices in the international market are currently on an upward trend. He highlighted that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is conducting a fresh analysis of the potential impacts of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East on Pakistan’s economy. The Finance Minister warned that a prolonged conflict could intensify pressure on the country’s external payments and remittances.
Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik clarified that it is premature to confirm whether fuel prices will increase or decrease, as the final decision rests on the calculated market averages. He urged the public to wait for the official notification and rely only on verified government sources for information, rather than circulating unconfirmed social media reports.
