Notorious Police Officer Linked to Alleged Criminal Gang Dismissed from Service

Karachi (HRNW): The Sindh Police has dismissed a police officer, Tayyab Alam, following allegations of involvement in organized criminal activities, according to official sources. Authorities confirmed that departmental proceedings were completed before the termination decision was issued.

Police officials stated that Tayyab Alam had previously been arrested by the SIU/CIA in connection with serious criminal allegations. After being released from jail, he was again arrested by Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan Police in an alleged robbery case.

Senior police officers had assigned the investigation to the SHO Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan and SDPO Liaquatabad to examine the allegations and submit findings. Based on the inquiry report and available evidence, departmental action was finalized, resulting in his dismissal.

According to police sources, the officer was allegedly involved in operating a street crime network, including cases of snatching and robbery. He is also accused of running a narcotics network in District West.

Further allegations suggest his involvement in motorcycle thefts, home robberies, and bank-related cash crimes across District Central and West.

Senior police officials reiterated that no leniency will be shown to any officer or official involved in corruption, misuse of authority, or criminal activity. They emphasized that strict departmental and legal action, including dismissal from service, will be taken against violators.

Authorities further stated that the primary duty of the police is to protect citizens, ensure the enforcement of law, and deliver justice. The police uniform, they said, represents public trust and service, and anyone abusing it has no place in the department.

Officials confirmed that such accountability measures will continue without discrimination to restore public confidence and maintain the integrity of the police force.
