Karachi Airport: Passenger Offloaded While Attempting to Travel to Saudi Arabia with Allegedly Fake Driving License

Karachi (HRNW): The Immigration Wing of Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has offloaded a passenger at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, after he allegedly attempted to travel to Saudi Arabia using a fake driving license.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the passenger was traveling on a valid work visa and Protector clearance to take up employment as a driver in Saudi Arabia. However, during the immigration clearance process, officials found discrepancies in the driving license presented by the traveler.

The spokesperson stated that the national identity card number printed on the license did not match the passenger’s actual CNIC number. Furthermore, when the QR code on the license was scanned, it reportedly displayed the details of another individual, strengthening suspicions that the document was forged.

Following the discovery, FIA immigration officials prevented the passenger from boarding his flight and offloaded him for further scrutiny.

The case has subsequently been referred to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Karachi, for detailed investigation and legal proceedings.

Authorities have advised citizens seeking overseas employment to ensure that all travel, educational, and professional documents are authentic and legally verified in order to avoid legal complications and travel disruptions.
