Northern Israel (HRNW)- A drone attack launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon targeted northern Israel, leaving three Israeli soldiers injured, one of whom is reported to be in critical condition, according to international media reports from the region.
An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that Hezbollah carried out the drone strike in the northern border area, resulting in injuries to three soldiers.
According to the military statement, Israel’s air defense system successfully intercepted and destroyed several rockets and drones before they reached their targets; however, one drone managed to hit a military vehicle, causing casualties.
The Israeli army further stated that the identities of the injured personnel will be officially disclosed after informing their families.
Reports indicate that Hezbollah drone activity has increased significantly in recent weeks. Previously, 12 Israeli soldiers were injured in a similar drone strike in the Shumera region of northern Israel.
Meanwhile, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, more than 2,700 people have been killed and over 8,400 injured since the escalation of the conflict in March 2026, with millions reportedly displaced due to ongoing hostilities.
