Putin Warns Iran Conflict Could Shake Global Economy, Urges Diplomatic Solution Amid Rising Middle East Tensions

Moscow (HRNW)- Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed serious concern over rising tensions involving Iran and has voiced hope for an early diplomatic resolution to the ongoing crisis.

According to the International News Agency from Moscow, President Putin warned that if the situation in the Middle East—particularly in the Strait of Hormuz—continues to deteriorate, the global community will ultimately bear the consequences.

He stated that the Iranian crisis has become increasingly complex and is placing Russia in a sensitive diplomatic position due to its relations with both Iran and Gulf countries.

Putin emphasized that Russia maintains close political and economic ties with Iran as well as important partnerships with Gulf states, making the escalating tensions a matter of serious concern for Moscow.

He further cautioned that a prolonged conflict would not remain limited to the region, but could significantly impact the global economy, energy markets, and international security landscape.

Reaffirming Moscow’s position, the Russian President said Russia supports de-escalation and encourages all parties to pursue a peaceful and diplomatic settlement.

He also noted that Russia has recently agreed to a US-mediated ceasefire with Ukraine, describing it as a potential diplomatic breakthrough.
