Karachi to Get More Double-Decker and Electric Buses This Year, Announces Sharjeel Memon

Karachi (HRNW)- Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced major improvements to Karachi’s public transport system, revealing that a large number of double-decker and modern electric (EV) buses will arrive in the city this year. The new buses will be introduced on various routes in phases to provide better and more comfortable travel facilities for citizens.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said the Sindh government is rapidly advancing its vision of modernizing public transport. Following the success of the People’s Bus Service, more EV buses and double-decker buses are being added to the city’s transport network.

According to the senior minister, these projects are not limited to transportation alone but are also shaping Karachi’s future development. He said the government is committed to providing citizens with safer, higher-quality, and more efficient travel facilities.

He added that electric buses will offer environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and comfortable transportation, while additional double-decker buses will enhance both commuting convenience and the city’s transport culture.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said this initiative represents more than just an increase in the number of buses; it is a significant step toward building a modern Karachi with world-class public transport services.
