Islamabad (HRNW) – Federal Minister for Energy Owais Leghari has said that relations between Pakistan and Russia are moving towards new dimensions in the changing global scenario, with cooperation expanding across multiple sectors.
Addressing a webinar on bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia, Owais Leghari said that the positive progress made over the past two decades has strengthened mutual trust between the two countries. He noted that cooperation is increasing in trade, energy, industry, education and science, while Pakistan is keen to join the International North-South Transport Corridor.
The minister welcomed the proposal to connect Gwadar Port with the International North-South Transport Corridor and described the Pakistan-Russia economic cooperation program extending to 2030 as a significant development. He added that both countries are actively working to remove trade barriers, including issues related to payment systems.
