Gilgit/Islamabad (HRNW): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has categorically rejected the recent election results in Gilgit-Baltistan, labeling the entire electoral exercise as fake and heavily rigged.
Addressing the media, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that the core of democracy lies in the people’s power to cast their votes freely. He emphasized that any manipulation, engineering, or tampering with public mandates constitutes a direct conspiracy against democratic principles.
Protest and White Paper Announcement
In response to the alleged electoral irregularities, the PTI Chairman announced a series of counter-measures:
-
Release of a White Paper: PTI will soon publish a comprehensive white paper detailing systematic rigging, discrepancies, and evidence of manipulation across various polling stations in Gilgit-Baltistan.
-
Countrywide Protests: The party is launching a series of structured protest demonstrations against the engineered outcomes.
-
Observance of a Black Day: To register their formal democratic protest, PTI will observe a “Black Day” across Gilgit-Baltistan to condemn the theft of the public mandate.
