Shah Latif Police Arrest Absconding Suspect Involved in Brutal Murder of 12-Year-Old Girl

Karachi (HRNW):In a major intelligence-based operation, the investigation wing of the Shah Latif Police Station has successfully tracked down and arrested a notorious absconding suspect wanted for the brutal murder of a 12-year-old girl.

According to police officials, SIO Syed Mushtaq Shah and Investigative Officer (IO) Manzur Chandio, along with their team, utilized advanced digital forensics and intelligence tracking to locate the suspect, identified as Ghulam Muhammad, son of Jan Muhammad. The suspect had been evading law enforcement agencies and went into hiding immediately after committing the heinous crime. He was wanted under FIR No. 844/26, registered on May 1, 2026, under Sections 302, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Details of the Gruesome Incident

The police revealed that a few days prior to his arrest, the suspect entered a residence in Yar Muhammad Goth, Madina Town, within the suburban locality of Quaidabad—falling under the jurisdiction of the Shah Latif Town Police Station. He repeatedly stabbed a 12-year-old innocent girl, identified as Iqra, daughter of Abdul Karim, with a knife, killing her on the spot.

During the violent assault, the suspect also launched a murderous attack on the deceased girl’s mother with the intent to eliminate her as well. Although she sustained critical stab wounds during the encounter, she survived the assassination attempt.

The apprehended suspect is currently under intensive interrogation, and investigators are exploring all legal and technical dimensions of the case to ensure a airtight prosecution in court.
