Tehran (HRNW)- Various international media reports and claims have emerged regarding the possible blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has said that the implementation of security measures or blockade in the Strait of Hormuz will begin on April 13 at 10 am (Eastern Time) as announced by President Donald Trump.
On the other hand, some US media reports have said that these measures may start from 7 pm today according to Pakistani time.
The reports also claim that the UK will not be involved in this alleged operation or blockade. Earlier, statements by former US President Donald Trump said that the US Navy would monitor ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and some operations may also be carried out, however, detailed and independently verified information in this regard has not been revealed.
According to experts, any action related to the Strait of Hormuz could have serious impacts on global energy and maritime trade.
