Washington (HRNW)- Various claims and reports are emerging internationally regarding the possible blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has said that as per the announcement of President Donald Trump, certain restrictions or security measures may be initiated in the Strait of Hormuz, which are reported to be effective from 7 pm Pakistan time.
According to sources, the scope of these measures may also extend to ships coming from Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
On the other hand, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards say that any military ship approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire and will be responded to severely. According to Iranian officials, this sea passage is under their control and its “smart management” is being carried out.
Further reports have also claimed that Iran has released a video warning a US ship, allegedly asking it to return from the Strait of Hormuz.
However, full confirmation from independent sources in this regard has not yet been revealed, while fears are being expressed that the situation will increase tensions in the region.
