Qalibaf Responds Sharply to Trump’s Strait of Hormuz Remarks, Says Iran Ready for Talks and Response

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has taken a sarcastic approach while responding to US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the possible blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

In his message on the social networking website X (formerly Twitter), Qalibaf said that “After the so-called blockade, you will soon miss the $4-5 petrol.”

He added that there should be no attempt to test Iran’s resolve, because any mistake will be responded to more severely than before. According to him, if the US chooses the path of war, Iran will also respond, while the doors to talks are open in the event of negotiations.

On the other hand, the Iranian delegation says that Iran has taken positive steps in good faith, as a result of which progress has been seen in the ongoing negotiations.
