Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has approved a 7.5 percent increase in the minimum wage for workers across the province.
According to a spokesperson for the Chief Minister of Sindh, the revised minimum wage will come into effect from July 1, 2026.
Under the cabinet’s decision, the minimum monthly wage for unskilled workers has been increased from Rs40,000 to Rs43,000. The cabinet also approved corresponding increases in the wages of semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled workers.
The spokesperson said the revised wage structure will apply to all notified industrial and commercial establishments throughout Sindh to ensure the effective implementation of the provincial minimum wage policy.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said the Sindh government is continuing to take practical steps to improve workers’ welfare and strengthen their economic security. He added that the provincial government is implementing various reforms to safeguard the rights and interests of workers.
During the meeting, the provincial cabinet also approved several important decisions related to health, justice, and workers’ welfare.
