Washington (HRNW)- Significant progress has been made in talks between Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and the United States Trade Representative regarding the bilateral trade framework between Pakistan and the United States.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to finalize the bilateral trade framework at the earliest and accelerate negotiations at the technical level.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of expanding trade and investment with the United States, describing the partnership between the two countries as vital for achieving export-led economic growth.
US officials appreciated Pakistan’s progress on labour and regulatory reforms, acknowledging the government’s efforts to improve the country’s business and investment environment.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation and agreed to maintain close communication to ensure the early conclusion of the trade agreement.
