Karachi (HRNW): The father of 24-year-old Faizan, who died after being hit by a tanker on Banaras Bridge in Karachi, has filed a Rs. 130 million compensation claim against the tanker driver and owner at the City Court.
According to the petitioner, the incident occurred on 11th Muharram when his son Faizan was returning from Hussainabad along with his cousin. The petitioner stated that a speeding tanker struck Faizan on Banaras Bridge, resulting in his death.
The petitioner’s lawyer, Usman Farooq, stated that the young man lost his life due to the alleged reckless speed of the tanker. He said that the deceased was the future support of his elderly parents and requested the court to order the responsible parties to pay compensation.
The petition seeks compensation from the tanker owner and driver for the financial loss and suffering caused to the family due to the fatal accident.
