Hyderabad (HRNW) – Police have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his wife in Ghareeb Nawaz Colony, within the jurisdiction of Hali Road Police Station, following a prompt response to the incident.
According to police, the suspect, Qurban Ali, son of Jamo Abro, allegedly opened fire on his wife, Zubaida, inside their home on Sunday morning, leaving her critically injured.
Upon receiving the report, Hali Road Police immediately responded to the scene and shifted the injured woman to a nearby hospital by ambulance. However, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
Following the incident, SDPO Hali Road Shafaq Anwar Rajput led an operation in coordination with SHO Hali Road Inspector Agha Asadullah Pathan, ASI Noor Muhammad Khoso, and the police team, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.
Police also recovered the pistol allegedly used in the shooting from the suspect’s possession.
Authorities said further investigation is underway, and legal proceedings are being carried out in accordance with the law.
