Kyiv (HRNW)- The latest Russian attack in Ukraine has killed 10 people and caused significant damage to a historic monastery in the Ukrainian capital. Media reports say the monastery, considered a 1,000-year-old symbol of Ukraine’s spiritual and cultural heritage, was severely affected during the heaviest Russian airstrikes on Kyiv in the past two weeks.
According to reports, at least 10 people have been killed in the overnight attacks. France’s Foreign Minister compared the strike on the historic monastery to the bombing of the famous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, highlighting the cultural and historical significance of the site.
The attack has drawn international concern as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, with repeated strikes causing civilian casualties and damage to important cultural landmarks.
