Tehran (HRNW) – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with his Iranian counterpart Sikandar Momeni, where the two leaders held detailed discussions on border cooperation, the regional security situation and other matters of mutual interest.
According to sources, this was the third meeting between the two interior ministers within two weeks, reflecting growing contacts and close cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
The meeting focused on enhancing security cooperation along the Pakistan-Iran border, improving border management and control, preventing illegal activities, and promoting peace and stability in the region.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in internal security matters and strengthening coordination between law enforcement agencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its close relations with Iran in order to promote regional peace, stability and mutual cooperation.
Iranian Interior Minister Sikandar Momeni also emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral security cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to maintain regular communication and cooperation to address common challenges and enhance peace and security in border areas.
