KARACHI (HRNW) – A high-level meeting was held between Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during which both leaders agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the federal government and the Sindh province.
The meeting involved detailed discussions on various critical matters, including national law and order, inter-provincial cooperation, the eradication of narcotics, and the improvement of public service delivery. During the session, the overall law and order situation and strategies to curb drug trafficking in Karachi and other major cities of Sindh were comprehensively reviewed.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Sindh government on its successful anti-bandit operations against criminals in the Kacha (riverine) areas and lauded the performance of the Sindh Police. He stated that the Sindh Police has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and bravery under challenging circumstances, playing a commendable role in restoring peace and order.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasized that effective coordination and cooperation between the federation and the provinces is the best way to tackle national challenges. He stressed that all institutions and governments must work together on matters of national interest. He reaffirmed that the Sindh government will further accelerate its efforts to eradicate crime, maintain law and order, and ensure public safety.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured that the federal government will extend all possible assistance and cooperation to the Sindh government in maintaining peace and eliminating the drug menace.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both leaders agreed to make communication channels between the federal and Sindh governments more effective to ensure the swift resolution of public grievances and to promote better governance.
