Gilgit (HRNW)- The Election Commission has granted permission to Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif to visit Gilgit-Baltistan and participate in election-related activities.
According to details, a formal No Objection Certificate (NOC) has been issued for Nawaz Sharif’s proposed visit on June 2, allowing him to take part in the election campaign in the region.
The Election Commission stated that the permission has been granted subject to full compliance with the Election Act 2017 and the applicable election code of conduct. All campaign activities must be carried out strictly within the framework of the law and electoral regulations.
Officials emphasized that political leaders and parties are required to adhere to all election rules to ensure a fair, transparent and orderly electoral process in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The development comes as political parties continue to intensify their campaigns ahead of the upcoming elections in the region.
