LAHORE (HRNW) – Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced a major financial reward for the field workers of the “Suthra Punjab” (Clean Punjab) campaign in recognition of their exemplary waste management operations during Eid-ul-Adha. The provincial Minister for Local Government, Zeeshan Rafique, shared key updates regarding the success of the drive and the government’s welfare steps for the workers.

Cash Prizes and Ration Cards for Workers

CM’s Special Package: Acknowledging the round-the-clock dedication of the workers, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sanctioned a cash prize of PKR 10,000 for each field hero of the Suthra Punjab campaign.

Gratitude for Honorable Livelihood: Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique stated that workers across the province expressed their deep gratitude to CM Maryam Nawaz for providing them with honorable employment opportunities.

Issuance of Ration Cards: The provincial minister revealed that the registration and distribution of specialized Ration Cards for these workers has already commenced and the process will be finalized shortly.
Extensive Cleaning of Mosques, Eidgahs, and Graveyards

Salute to the Heroes: Minister Zeeshan Rafique commended the workforce, stating, “The heroes of Suthra Punjab have performed exceptionally well, and we salute their hard work.”

Large-Scale Sanitation Drive: Under the special Eid sanitation framework, waste management teams successfully cleaned more than 60,000 mosques, alongside hundreds of open-air prayer grounds (Eidgahs) and graveyards across Punjab.

Minimal Violations Recorded: Highlighting the public cooperation and administrative efficiency during the festival, the Local Government Minister noted that only 200 minor violations regarding the dumping of animal waste in prohibited zones were reported across the entire province of Punjab.
