Petroleum Division Adjusts Levy Rates: Petrol Levy Slashed, Diesel Levy Hiked

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – The federal government has modified the petroleum levy rates applied to fuel products across the country. According to official sources within the Petroleum Division, the petroleum levy on petrol has been significantly reduced, whereas the levy on high-speed diesel has been increased.

The statistical adjustments implemented by the Petroleum Division include:

Significant Reduction in Petrol Levy

  • Per-Liter Cut: The Petroleum Division sources confirmed that the levy imposed on petrol has been slashed by 10.83 PKR per liter.

  • New Applicable Rate: Following this downward adjustment, the petroleum levy on petrol has dropped to 91.34 PKR per liter from its previous rate of 102.17 PKR.

Increase in High-Speed Diesel Levy

  • Per-Liter Hike: Conversely, the petroleum levy on high-speed diesel has been increased by 10.93 PKR per liter.

  • New Applicable Rate: With this upward revision, the levy on diesel has escalated to 68.93 PKR per liter from the earlier fixed rate of 58 PKR.

Kerosene Oil Levy Status

  • Rate Maintained: Sources within the Petroleum Division further clarified that the petroleum levy on kerosene oil remains completely unchanged and has been sustained at its previous level of 20.36 PKR per liter.
