Muharram 1448 AH: Leave Ban Imposed in Sindh Police for Law and Order Duties

Karachi (HRNW): The Sindh Police has imposed a complete ban on all types of leaves for officers and personnel across all cadres in order to ensure peaceful conduct of religious events during Muharram 1448 AH / 2026.

According to an official order issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police Sindh, all leaves have been suspended until the 12th of Muharram 1448 AH, except for emergency leave.

The notification further states that all previously approved leaves have been cancelled, with the exception of medical and ex-Pakistan leave cases, which remain exempt.

All personnel currently on leave have been directed to immediately report back to their respective units.

Supervisory officers have been strictly instructed to ensure full implementation of the order, with a clear warning that no leniency will be tolerated in this regard.

The directive, issued from the Office of the Inspector General of Police Sindh, Karachi on June 19, 2026, has been marked as “extremely urgent.”
