IESCO Announces Temporary Power Outage Schedule for Maintenance and Development Works

Islamabad (HRNW) Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued a schedule for temporary power outages in various areas due to annual system maintenance, development projects and the installation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters.

According to an IESCO spokesperson, the planned shutdowns are necessary to improve the power distribution system and ensure the smooth operation of electricity supply networks in the future.

The spokesperson said that electricity supply will remain suspended on selected feeders in the Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum circles during the maintenance period.

According to the announced schedule:

  • GSO Circle: Power supply will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Azad Pattan: Power outage will continue from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • 132 kV New Wah Grid Station: Electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

In addition, temporary power interruptions will also affect areas connected to the 132 kV Chakwal, Talagang, Bagwal, Kahuta City, Palandri, New Wah and Bahtar Mor grid stations, along with surrounding localities.

IESCO has appealed to consumers to cooperate during the maintenance work and assured them that electricity supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the scheduled activities.
